I would like to invite everyone to attend our first BSSDA youth hunt. The hunt will be held on February 5, 2004.Location of the hunt will be Gardner, LA which is about 15 miles west of Alexandria, La. We will have a squirrel hunt , bench show , and treeing contest. This is a NKC sanctioned hunt, plaques will be given out to the winners and participation trophies for all contestants. The hunt is for kids 16 years of age and under. We will have two age classes. The first is for kids up to 10 years old and the other age class is for kids 11 to 16 years old. . Each age class will be awarded plaques for 1st through 5th. Also points will be awarded 1st - 10th in both age classifications.This is for the squirrel hunt only.
There will be one Bench show and Treeing contest for all youth 16 and under. Plaques and points will be awarded.
Sign in for the hunt will begin 6:30am and Draw out for the squirrel hunt will be at 7:30 AM. The hunt will be from 7:30 am till 11:30 Am. Deadline for the bench show will be12:00 pm with the treeing contest to follow.
Entry fee will be $10.00 per child.This entry fee will cover the squirrel hunt, Bench show, and Treeing contest.
We will be cooking hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch. After lunch will have a drawing for prizes for all of the kids that participated in one of the events.
So please come out and attend. This is a great way involved our children in this wonderful sport.
Directions from Alexandria, LA– go west on HWY 28 to Gardner turn left on HWY 121 go about 5 miles turn left on HWY 1199 go about 6 miles turn right on gravel road and follow signs to the clubhouse.
