State Line Dave
I have a extra nice July 6 2022 DOB treeing feist to give someone. I traded for this dog last spring knowing he had one issue. His issue he does not bark on the tree without he can see's the squirrel. I have a yard full of fox squirrels and he stayed treed this summer a lot. He hunts great about 100 to 150 from you, gets gone and looking for a squirrel, not one bit afraid of the gun shots, road hunts good and walks hunts good also, tone broke I never had to shock him, comes when called and will drop a squirrel close to you when one hits the ground, not ill with other dogs. I have a 12 month old pup and a 17 month pup that I have started hunting. They are about to get all my spare time. I really believe if this dog is hunted he will work his issue out. He is squirrel crazy. Here's his blood line. I have NKC papers, NSD papers, and a DNA profile certificate on this male. State Line Dave
My Joker dog has a new home in Ohio. 2 young boys with pellet guns and a lot of fox squirrels to tree. Thanks Dave 1 Link to comment
Roper's Feist Posted yesterday at 12:36 PM Share Posted yesterday at 12:36 PM Dave, those 2 boys will have a blast owning and hunting Joker. He will become their best friend and best hunting partner before the season is over. It is real easy to get to many young dogs to work with at the same time. You have to make a choice between the ones you like the best for whatever reason and get rid of the other ones. When the squirrel population is lower than normal in the areas you have to hunt it is hard to hunt the older better trained dogs and have much success at all during a season. Little on taking a lightly started dog and hunt them in those bad areas and have any success at all. Yes I am speaking from experience!!! Been there and done that several seasons in the past. Take care and good luck during the rest of the season. Jerry Link to comment

Dave Dave, I had more than I could hunt because of the health problems my wife "Sue" is having. That is the reason I gave Mr. Trent Katy and Magnum last Summer. At that time I did not know all the places I normally hunted each season had changed so much. I really have not hunted Toby and Precious as much this season as they need hunted for different reasons. I told Mr. Trent before he drove down that he was doing me more of a favor when he and his wife came down and picked up Katy and Magnum than I did him a favor. If I had not raised Precious from day one I would have kept Katy and got rid of her. My personal opinion Katy is a very very special Feist Female. She probably will be the last Feist out of my Line of Feist that I will every hunt with that has a "COLD" nose on it like Katy has on her. My male Feist Banjo that was a full litter mate to your male King had a "COLD" nose on him like she has but he is dead and I cannot breed Precious back to him. I let my second cousin keep and hunt him so he would be close by and I could breed to him if I wanted too. He died at a pretty early age and Mike said he thought he died from Cancer. My Bonnie female died from Throat Cancer when she was around 6 years old. All my Line of Feist are heavy line bred back to Bonnie. Now Dave you can put more one on one hunting time into the young dogs you still own. Take care and good luck during the rest of this season. Jerry Link to comment
