The burn times on the SMART LIGHTS has changed. The low will now burn for 12+ and the high for 30+. This is the manufacturers specs.

I have the new Star Hunting Lights LED & LED II lights in stock. Check them out they are really bright!

NEW East Fork LED Cap Light!!

Specially designed Head has 7 LED's, 1 Primary and 6 Auxiliaries. This light gives you a true low by burning all 7 LED's which casts a wide flood type light with a dim center spot. It is not to bright and is ideal for walking and shining for eyes. One high only the Primary LED burns and it throws a very tight bright spot a long distance. Extremely durable construction and the longest burn times of any LED Cap Light out there!!

Is the smart light bright enough to use as a spot light or just maily walking and shining eyes?

How and why???????

I do not know how or why. I was never told anything and the post on the UKC forum says nothing about it. The last info posted on there says 18+ on high and 100+ on low. I had a customers light go out on him, all the sudden, in the middle of a hunt and he called questioning burn times. Had another customer call and say that he talked to Smart Lights about the burn times and they told him the times had changed. So I went back and checked the paper work and sure enough they did change the times on the sheets they send with the lights, but never told anyone or posted anything about it. I didn't catch the change on the papers because they always send them with the lights and I just file them back. I decided to test my light and it only burned 29 hours on low and 12 hours on high which is close to the new times listed by them. Like I said I don't know why or how it changed, just trying to keep the info I post as up to date and correct as I can.

You can shine really tall trees with it but I wouldn't say you can use it as a spotlight. It does have a tight spot but it is not as bright as the 5 watt LED spotlight I use. Hope this helps.
