Welcome to High Oak Kennels where we raise Treeing Feist. Our dogs are quality Feist. Anything that we incorporate into our kennel will be to better the breed; whether it be line breeding or outcrossing.

Our goal is to produce Squirrel Dogs. We refuse to run a puppy mill and have NO brood females. If it won't tree...we don't breed it or keep it!

We are very blessed to have the type of high quality dogs that can prove themselves in the woods and also reproduce their likeness. We believe that we have nice reproducers offered at stud to the public. We breed for squirrel dogs.

If we don't have what you are looking for then I will be more than willing to point you in the direction of someone that raises high quality squirrel dogs, will treat you right and be honest with you.

10-20-09 --- ADAM'S KATE IS VISITING BRITCHES

http://www.highoakke...rebreedings.htm

****Britches x Adam's Kate --- Joel has brought his Kate to visit Britches. This cross was made for the first time a year ago. The pups are just the right age to start hunting this season. They turned a year old right around the first of this season. These pups will be Sportbred top and bottom.

Here is a photo of Sandy on some of Joel's hunting property back in the summer. Sandy is out of the 1st cross of Britches and Kate. Joel likes her and is looking forward to hunting her during her first squirrel season.

Joel Adams Kate
Attached Image: Kate.jpg
Joel Adams is excited about getting another litter off Britches and Kate. I saw Kate the other day and she is starting to fatten up.
These pups will be 9/16ths Sport bred. Britches is out of Oakdale Sport Model x Gingo's Cricket. Kate is out of Oakdale Sport Model x Reed's Dixie (Dixie was a granddaughter of Sport from the SportxRobin cross)

The pups should be born around Christmas and be ready for their new homes around the first week of February. Joel has not booked any pups yet. He is waiting until they are born before making any arrangements.

Just got some GREAT NEWS ----A young dog out of Britches won an NKC hunt over in Louisiana back in October.

The dog's name is Shoepick and he was only 10 MONTHS OLD at the time of his win!!!
Shoepick is out of the Britches x Gardner's Sugar cross. Hopefully this cross will be made again soon!
Shoepick is on his way to becoming a Champion just like his daddy Britches!

01-02-10 Wynn's Molly is visiting Britches!!!

Attached Image: Britches_and_Molly_hunt.jpg
An opening weekend hunt in October of last season with Britches and Molly.

Molly is a daughter of Kerley's Dusty x Beam's Princess. This was a nice cross also that produced natural treedogs. These puppies will have a double shot of SportxCricket.

We are looking for nice squirrel dogs from this cross as the last breeding produced very nice results. Here is a photo of Wynn's Buddy treeing his own squirrel around 9 or 10 months of age and doing it right!

Roxie placed 8th at the 2009 Dexter, GA Rally Hunt. She did a fine job.
Attached Image: Dexter_2009_Roxie_8th.JPG

Pictured below are 4 Bud bred dogs that placed in the top 10.
One of them is the newest ATFA Squirrel Champion Bright's Timber Patch owned by Fred Bright. Patch is out of Little River Spud. Also out of Little River Spud is Little River Cowboy. Cowboy is owned by Lenus Hall and Mike Croucher and placed 10th at the hunt. Danny Williams is with his grandpup of Bud named Buck that placed 6th. Another good showing by the Bud dogs.

Last weekend hunts of the 2009-2010 Season
Well the season is over and the dogs decided to declare war on the squirrels the last weekend. We had a really good time.

02-27-10 Here is our Saturday afternoon hunt. We got started late and hunted right at 2 hours and the dogs did well. Dusty looked extremely good. Roxie looked good also. Really nice dog work.
The dogs treed 25 and we knocked down 23. A couple got away. Of the ones we knocked down I believe Dusty treed 14 and Roxie treed 9.
We hunted with (L-R) Cousin Lance Adams, Ethan Spigner with Roxie, Ross Vining with Dusty and me on the far right. Ethan brought a pellet gun and after the first few squirrels I gave him my shotgun and started pulling the vines for everyone. Ethan and Lance really had a time. They let the lead fly LOL

Attached Image: 02_27_10_and_02_28_10_Final_Weekend_Hunts_004.jpg
Attached Image: 02_27_10_and_02_28_10_Final_Weekend_Hunts_011.jpg

02-28-10 The next hunt was our Sunday afternoon hunt. After Church we grabbed a bite to eat and met a buddy of mine and went a hunting. We hunted with Jeff Fulghum and his little ball of dynamite Tontoe. Again the dogs did really well. We killed 18 and had 2 get away in less than 2 hours. The dogs were split treeing and we were running all over the woods to get to them. The dogs held pressure every time and looked really good. Roxie got a jump on Tontoe and Dusty. I believe they got into a race when we turned them loose and Roxie treed 3 on the way to them. Little Tontoe can scoot. When we got to the boys they were split treed about 75 yards apart hammering. It was an exciting final hunt with good folks. Roxie had the edge in this one but all 3 dogs did excellent.

Pictured L-R are Grant Mosier, Ethan Spigner with Dusty, Alex Kendrick on the box holding Roxie, Jeff Fulghum with Tontoe and myself.

Attached Image: 02_27_10_and_02_28_10_Final_Weekend_Hunts_015.jpg

The last photo is of both hunts. 41 squirrels in less than 4 hours! FEIST POWER!!!

Attached Image: 02_27_10_and_02_28_10_Final_Weekend_Hunts_021.jpg

It was a great ending to another great season!
