Church, Rat Terriers, Hiking, Showing Dogs in UKC, Spending time with my kids and husband, Jeeps, Muscle cars, Motorcycles, Cooking, Writing, Photography, Listening to music (Rock, Alt., Metal & some country) <br /><br />I am a Christian home-schooling mom. Striving to be a good wife & a good mom first and foremost. <br /><br />I aquired my first Rat Terrier in 2003. He has so much prey drive and natural ability as well as being a charming and wonderful pet, that I decided to preserve this kind of dog and become part of the breeding community. <br /><br />Although we enjoy showing in conformation, I have found a new excitement. Watching my dogs work in the woods and meadows around our home. This got me interested in squirrel hunting, not that it ever occurred to me in the first place, but it seems like a natural thing that many of our dogs will enjoy being a part of. If we can prove them out in the woods, I'll know that what we are breeding is true to what the breed should be. <br /><br />We raise mostly mini and small standard Rat Terriers (under 15"), however I'm very impressed with the Decker dogs and as our house gets closer to finished I may add me a Decker Hunting Terrier B-tch which has been bred according to Milton & Ellis Decker's eye and hunting experiences. Our Decker b_tch will be bred with the mentoring guidance of the Decker Hunting Terrier enthusiasts.
