I hunted squirrels as a kid, over 50 years ago, and was a quail hunter for the past 50 years. Now there are few quail so I am trying to learn about sq. dogs. I have Mt. Feist and Mt. cur and like both of breeds. <br /><br />I raise a few mules, recently retired, and life is good. I have spent the past 35 years conducting research related to individuals with disabilities.

I hunt my Feist and Cur dogs on quail and pheasant. I have a 2005 pup that is a Pointer Mt. Cur cross that I will try next year because my old pointer will be 10 years old.
My Feist are out of the cadillac jack line out of Ed Bates kennel and my cur is out of Chuck Gaitto's kennel. I am in the early learning phase with Sq. dogs. Having a ball.
