  1. Both pups have a new home together. 2 little boys and their father picked them up today. They had a smile on their face when they left holding the pups. Dave in
  2. The lady female I owned will be the mother on both pups. She's treed a lot of squirrels for me the last couple years. I had no papers on her. I bought her already trained out of the state of Georgia. There are some SDC viewers on here that might know her blood line. But she will treed and get treed quick. The father will be Panther Springs Grimm owned by Trey Pelts ( SDC Will.p ) member. Grimm's father is Show Stopper Diesel GRSQCH. Grimm mother will be Williams Rosie SQCH. Pup were born on Sept 8 2023. They have had all their puppy shots except Rabies. They have been handled a lot by kids they are not afraid or timid. They have never been hunted or shot around loaded or taught to lead. Never had a training collar on either. They have never been fooled with using dead squirrels or drags. They have been walked together since 4 months old daily about 45 minutes. They have crossed were squirrels were on the ground they both smelled the scent and really get after it. But they haven't treed yet. I had 4 of these pups Will.p wanted the female, I have chose to keep the one who looks like his daddy Grimm. The male I am keeping has not done any thing different than his 2 brothers that I have described. I just like his looks. The pups should be around 14 to 15 inches tall and weigh around 25 to 28 pounds when they mature. In my opinion both of these pups if handled right will make a squirrel dog. It will take training and patience. If you want a good blooded pup that's ready to hunt today you can't beat the price I'm asking. The shots and wormer cost me 80.00 a pup at the vet. Price 300.00 each. A hundred dollar deposit required.
  3. Coming out of your personal dogs she should make dandy. I hope she gets in a hunting home. Dave
  4. Fellows these pup are as good as the come. Just look at the trees dogs in their bloodline full of squirrel dog champions. I have hunted with Grimm and he is a dandy a real squirrel dog. I know you still have put the time in any pup you buy. But you cannot go wrong when you start with this type of bloodline. And Will is top shelf in my book. Good luck getting these pups in hunting homes. Dave
  5. We waited until all the deer hunters had left the area we hunted in. The weather gave us a half inch of rain last night and the temps were in the low 60s about one o'clock. I was surprised the squirrels were down and moving pretty good. I took my little lady dog and she did a fine job on a couple hour hunt for a mid day hunt. Austin's knocked 3 out and we couldn't find one up a big oak. I'm still having fun and hope you are to. Good luck. Dave
  6. Sounds like he's a good squirrel dog. Good luck selling him. Dave
  7. I have said this before on SDC. I have never seen a pup I didn't like this old man goes back to the little boy that's still in me. LOL. The pups are very nice and will make someone very happy. Dave
  8. Me to HillBilly. My wife has a brand new pair size 8 that I ordered for her before they discontinued. There out in my shop she has never worn them. I wish I had ordered me a couple of pairs then to. Thanks for your reply. Dave
  9. Levi I have a pair of the Aerohead Lacrosse and love them. I wear them during the hot months. Thanks Dave
  10. I'm needing advice on a great pair of walking boots to hunt hilly places with some rocky soil. There will be small ditches with some water in them, but can probably avoid most water places as I'm talking about hilly places. Would be nice if they can repel and turn water. They need to be stable on hilly ridges and rocky places souls for climbing are all right. Not to heavy I hope. Must be a slip on boot 10 to 14 inches tall. No laces as I don't bend over to good any more to tie a boot. Not worried about snake proof as I'll be wearing them in the winter only. Willing to spend 300.00 to 400.00. Please advise.... Thanks Dave
  11. ....... Dave I did not want to say anything on here about the 2 dogs I went to Kentucky and got yesterday from Wendell Harrison aka47 on here. I gave him a puppy starter deluxe, a well trained walk and road type female that I called Baby to hunt and start his pups with. Gunner, the full litter mate to King has not been hauled of hunted enough to be truck or gun broke at this age. He did not know what I was doing when I was shooting at the squirrels Toby was treeing this morning. He was nervous and he got right behind me until I stopped shooting. Some time he would put both front feet upon my back while I was shooting. I cut them open and let him eat the heart and lungs out of them when Toby brought them to me. He was gentle when he did get them instead of trying to eat my hand off like some of the ones I have raised and started. I think I can still train him at this age. He has to much treeing bloodline in him to mot tree I personally think. He will bark at a squirrel he sees in my yard or behind his kennel when he sees and hears them om the ground or in the trees moving around. Wendell wanted to keep Baby to hunt when he wanted to go. He does take great care of her so that is all I care at 11 years old. The female I got is a full litter mate to the Penny female I am hunting for my nephew this season. She "Bonnie" is a better looking bigger size stronger built female than Penny is. I hope I can get her and Gunner treeing this season. Take care and stay after them. Jerry
