My buddy, Larry Scarborough, told me that his little female named Moon Shine had her pups. A big whopping litter of 3!!! All males too. Anyway she was bred to our young male Grip. Here is his pedigree... "Grip's Pedigree"

Moon Shine came from Carlton Moon as a pup. She is off Moon's Abraham and Tater. Abraham was a son of Horse Creek Monkey. Tater was off Little River Spud and Little River Emma.

These pups should make Big Mouth, Hard Hunting squirrel dogs!! Larry said his wife Margaret was calling the pups her grandbabies..... :roflmao:

Anyway I thought I would share the pics!!

I just recieved this email this past weekend from Tom Austin of Mississippi.

"Have been spending some time with Razzy in the woods since squirrel season opened here. Overall I am pleased with his progress. He has been treeing since he was five or six months old. I have seen several squirrels that he has treed, but getting a shot with all of the leaves on has been difficult. Today we went out and he treed four times solid and a couple of other times that he seemed a bit unsure on. I saw three of the four solids and killed two of the three. Picture is attached. So far he seems to have lots of potential and I think is going to be a top notch squirrel dog. He is quite mouthy when he trees, almost like he screams rather than barks. He is very loud. He has a great nose, but also knows how to use his hearing and sight as well. He is a very hard and fast hunter as well. When he sees a squirrel running thru the timber, his enthusiasm causes him to run past the squirrel and he sometimes loses sight of them when he does this. All in all 9 months and 5 days old and treeing and killing squirrels is pretty good in my opinion.

Would like to see if we can get together and make a hunt sometime. My son and I are looking at the possibility of a late season hunt somewhere in Alabama. He has some contacts on national Forest land in the Birmingham area and we may try to do something there. If you are interested in joining us we would like to have you."

Tom

This is the picture he sent too. It's great to get reports like this on your pups. Razzy is out of Cowboy and Belle. The same cross as the pups I have on the ground now!

Got another email about one of our pups.... I have posted before about him... His name is Razzy. He is out of Cowboy and Belle.

Mike,

Attached are a couple of pictures. One is of Razzy so that you can get a better feel for his size. The other is of a hunt made today. In a nutshell, Razzy made 7 trees and we killed six squirrels. This was with a couple of my friends from Louisiana on my place here in Mississippi. As I told them after the hunt, “Not too bad for three old guys and a 9 and ˝ month old puppy”. One of the squirrels he treed today was winded. He was running along a downed tree and all of a sudden, stood up on his back legs, stuck his nose in the air and went straight to a tree. The squirrel was stuck on the side of the tree about 15 feet off the ground. Razzy continues to get better with every hunt. I have killed ten squirrels with him in the last two hunts. Can hardly wait until the leaves get off. He certainly has the genetics and makings to be a great squirrel dog. Feel free to use the pictures and my e-mail as a testimonial to the capability of your dogs.

Tom

Conrad Pryor and his son drove down Saturday night from Lafayette, Georgia to breed their little squirrel dog Penny to Atom. The breeding took place on Sunday! We didn't take pictures of the breeding for proof... :roflmao:  You will have to take my word for it!
